MDM4U Mathematics of Data Management Grade 12 University [to be introduced September 2004]

This course broadens students’ understanding of mathematics as it related to managing information. Students will apply methods for organizing large amounts of information; apply counting techniques, probability, and statistics in modelling and solving problems. Students will carry out a culminating project that integrates the expectations of the course and encourages perserverance and independence. This course will be of particular interest to those students who are planning to pursue university programmes in business, the social sciences, and the humanities.

Prerequsites: MCT 4C or over 85% in MCF3M; ENG3C or ENG3U
