The Emery Adult Learning Centre is a community that fosters life-long learning.

	We strive to provide innovative and relevant programs in a supportive learning environment.
We encourage personal growth in our students, leading them to become confident, independent thinkers, aware of their strengths and values in a competitive and changing society.
We provide opportunities for the adult learners to achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.
We promote partnerships within the community to meet the needs of the adult learner and the community. The diversity in our community is celebrated.

Our Action Plan

The challenge for the Emery Adult Learning Centre is to insure that the programs offered respond to the unique needs of the adult students.

Program Goals:

1. Review the effectiveness of the programs and explore expanding offerings for adults proceeding to post-secondary education.

2. Introduce more programs with a job-related focus for those students proceeding directly to work.

3. Continue offering programs that meet social needs and provide transferable skills resulting in a more balanced curriculum.

4. Review and strive to improve the re-entry process making it as welcoming, efficient and successful as possible.
